External Sales Representative
Mining/Minerals/Metals ~ Manufacturing

You will be required to take charge of all external sales activities in assigned accounts or regions. Your role will involve ensuring the quality and consistency of product and service delivery, fostering client relationships, and driving sales growth.
Experience in the HVAC/ Airconditiong industry is essential
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Grade 12 or Technical equivalent is required.
- Industry Experience: Technical sales experience in the steel or allied industries.
- Computer Proficiency: High-level computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PDF, and PowerPoint.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to persuade, influence, and effectively present information.
- Appearance: Maintain a professional and neat appearance
- Language: Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans languages.
- Problem Solving and Time Management: Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and demonstrate problem-solving skills while working independently or collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Management: Manage external sales activities for assigned accounts or regions, ensuring the quality and consistency of product and service delivery.
- Client Interaction: Assist clients via phone, providing verbal quotations, helping with product selections, and answering inquiries about products, prices, and availability.
- Quotation and Order Processing: Prepare quotations, internal order forms, and purchase orders through fax, email, and CRM, ensuring prompt and accurate processing.
- Follow-up and Customer Relations: Follow up on quotes, delivery dates, and client payments, fostering strong client relationships and addressing concerns.
- Sales Growth: Generate leads, meet or exceed sales goals, and negotiate contracts with prospective clients to achieve sales targets.
- Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly sales reports, conduct sales presentations to potential clients, and demonstrate company products.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge, perform deliveries and site repairs as needed, identify new customers and market opportunities, and gather market and competitor information.
