Reporting to the CEO, you will have extensive experience in running a retail website for a profit.  The eCommerce Manager will be responsible for driving traffic, via promotions and email campaigns to increase revenue, ultimately improving the customer journey. The aim is to make the online eCommerce system easy to use, speedy and secure. You will possess strong sales and customer services experience in the retail environment.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • 5 years ++ in a Digital Marketing Agency or dedicated Digital marketing team
  • Sector experience:  Retail, Food & Beverage, Financial Institutions, Telecommunications
  • Strong experience in eCommerce activities to drive traffic on websites
  • Strong experience in eCommerce Operations (Content Management, e-Merchandising & personalisation)
  • Professional Skills Technical experience with eCommerce platforms: Payment gateways, Google Analytics, Everlytic, Shopify etc.
  • Solid experience in delivering results across a broad spectrum of digital channels, including SEO, Display Social, Email, Paid Media, etc.
  • Strong Web Analytics knowledge (Google Analytics certification a plus)
  • Experience in building and managing an eBusiness operation (organization, processes, guidelines) is a strong plus
  • CRM and eCRM Experience essential
  • Commercial Business Acumen (understanding of processes and enablers, drivers of Business Models & being capable to translate them into relevant Marketing Actions)
  • Good understanding of value chain analysis and all functional areas of the business beyond Marketing, e.g., finance, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, demand planning
  • Excellent planning and administration skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work independently
 
Responsibilities And Duties
  • Lead The eCommerce Channel Business Development
  • Implement the operational plan to reach conversion, sales & customers satisfaction objectives.
  • Accountable for the E2E optimization of the e-commerce Channel performance, from e-merchandising & personalization and retention activities, leveraging CRM insights to increase conversion & average basket size.
  • Accountable for delivering Commercial digital activities in line with Marketing on time and quality as defined in the eCommerce Operational Plan set by the market
  • Manage the day-to-day tasks related to the online shop, including daily sales reporting, checking orders etc.
  • Product data management – ensuring all product descriptions, renders and other product information is up-to-date and that the prices are correct. Listing new products on the website.
  • Overall management of e-commerce stock – plan and maintain a sufficient stock holding, forecasting etc.
  • Maintaining the general website content – uploading pages, website FAQs etc.
  • Plan and implement strategies to ensure profitability and meet sales targets.
  • Design and prepare monthly reports on eCommerce/website metrics (Web Analytics – monitor and measure site performance, report on product sales etc.)
  • Daily communication with the Customer Relationship Manager regarding queries
  • Daily communication with the Supply Chain Manager (third-party service providers, couriers, warehouse, loyalty and rewards partner etc.)
  • Budget for eCommerce expenditures
  • Collaborate with marketing to plan and create newsletters
  • Proofread marketing content to ensure spelling, grammar and scientific correctness
  • Work closely with web development and technical teams to assist with website improvements.
