This position is open to candidates who are immediately available or open to temp or contract work only. The interim placement will be on fixed-term appointments for a period of 6 months.
 
Manage the group regional financial and accounting processes ensuring sound financial practices within the Company.  Oversee the company financial environment.
 
Essential Qualification, Experience and Skills
  • CA(SA) essential and SAICA registered
  • 5 years of Banking and Financial related Operational experience essential
  • 4 years of Banking and Financial related Management experience essential
  • Drafting of financial statements, financial analysis, financial reporting expertise essential

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Compile and integrate the Regional, and Financial Business Unit budget and submit it for review
  • Identify specific risks, guidelines and variances. Recommend remedial actions.
  • Active ongoing budget control, co-ordination of budget variance action plans and reporting
  • Oversee the sound and effective document and accounting record-keeping at the Regional level
  • Manage and report on employer group cash flow and file processing statistics
  • Oversee employer group reconciliations and the settlement of open transactions
  • Approve reconciliations for influential employer groups
  • Oversee the day-to-day employer group financial relationships
  • Develop financial models including profitability and break-even models
  • Develop product cost analysis
  • Draft, interpret and submit corporate financial statements for review
  • Draft, interpret and submit financial forecasts
  • Oversee general ledger group reconciliations
  • Present monthly results to Internal Stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of organisational standards, policies and procedures within the span of control and monitor implementation to ensure full compliance.
  • Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures
  • Manage and resolve all external and internal audit findings
  • The coordinate the external audit plan for the company
  • Accountable for the Regional team’s performance through effective management within policies and procedures to ensure achievement of standards/objectives.
