Business Development Manager

You will play a key role in supporting the company’s expansion into African markets, driving export growth strategies, managing distributor and stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with regional standards and trade requirements. The role requires frequent local and international travel and attendance at industry and client engagements.
 
In parallel, the role is responsible for business development across commercial and large-scale construction projects in South Africa, with a focus on structural building systems. You will identify and secure new opportunities, influence product specification, and build strong relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, developers, and other industry influencers.
 
The role requires a commercially astute professional with strong technical credibility, networking capability, and the ability to position solutions that meet customer needs while strengthening the company’s market position
 
Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Project Management
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant industry experience in a similar business development role
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry, key role players, and decision-makers
  • Sound knowledge of applicable standards, legislation, and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience in specification-driven selling within the construction market, engaging with consultants, engineers, architects, installers, and specifiers
