Job title of Direct Manager: Commercial Executive
Location: Midrand – relocation assistance will be offered for those outside Gauteng Province
You will spearhead strategies to enhance market presence and product specifications in the construction industry. Holding a BCom or equivalent or possessing at least five years of relevant experience, you will deeply understand industry standards, legislation, and key influencers. Responsibilities include developing lead generation, expanding professional networks across Africa, and establishing robust relationships with specifiers and clients.
The role demands strong research skills, the ability to compile detailed reports, and liaise with various industry bodies. It also requires local and international travel and participation in events outside normal business hours. You should be highly professional and ethical and possess excellent networking skills.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Education: BCom or equivalent; alternatively, at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
Industry Knowledge: Proficient understanding of the construction market, standards, legislation, and key role players such as consumers, installers, consultants, engineers, and architects.
Experience: Proven background in developing specifications, product advocacy, and influencing decision-makers. Experience in structural engineering will be highly advantageous.
