A role with a difference that requires a high level of research capability. You will be responsible to take on a newly researched product, research plant and machinery generally used in its production process. Design a pilot plant on a budget and commission runs of production. This envisaged plant to manufacture will go right through to the methods of packaging the product

Essential to have a GCC Factories, plus technical qualification coupled with an intrinsic knowledge of ISO 22000. Knowledge of food safety management systems and additional experience or knowledge of BRC, SAFSIS, FSCA would be an advantage.

Key Result Areas:

  • Responsible for the entire plant and its technical and mechanical function with particular reference to production capacities of the various plant.
  • Study capacities as they relate to constraints in production and come up with possible solutions of design or change to enable better overall capacity in the whole factory.
  • Oversite control and responsibility for all electrical, steam, compressed air, thermal oil, ventilation, automation, fire compliance, building compliance and generally assume the role of the responsible health and safety manager
  • Familiarise yourself with current projects on the go and envisaged upgrades spoken about and planned for the immediate and medium-term future.
  • Manage and facilitate the utilisation of good engineering principles from design through to implementation.


Skills Required


  • Minimum of a recognised degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering.
  • GCC Factories - able to sign off as the 16.2 in charge of engineering in the whole plant.

Essential Experience

  • Intrinsic knowledge of ISO 22000 as a minimum
  • Knowledge of food safety management systems essential
  • Knowledge of BRC, SAFSIS, FSCA would be an advantage.
  • Essential that you have a proven track record of having designed and implemented new plant and production lines in the food industry and furthermore prove his/her ownership of the lead role in such record of experience.
  • Proven experience of controlling/managing engineering principles of production in a Food FMCG Manufacturing company.
