Key Result Areas

  • Management of resources (labour, materials, plant & equipment) to ensure efficiency in the printing departments.
  • Maximise productivity and efficiency through lean manufacturing techniques to increase profitability.
  • Craft and implement strategic operations initiatives to differentiate production from competitors and in line with company strategic goals.
  • Project manage to completion and within budget complex of large, medium and small projects whenever the need arises.
  • Take ownership and provide innovative leadership and development of managers and their employees in the Printing Process environment in order to ensure highly motivated employees with a performance driven culture.
  • Achieve optimum utilisation through the efficient management, coaching, training and mentoring of direct reports.
  • Ensure seamless workflow planning between relevant departments to enable timeous delivery of cost-effective product output for client satisfaction and to meet production targets and quality standards.
  • Ensure the availability of well-maintained equipment and the provision of a safe work environment.

 



Skills Required

Essential Experience and Skills

-          Knowledge of the printing processes, including Lithography, Digital, Silkscreen and Finishing

-          Knowledge of the complete print production environment

-          Working knowledge of Quality Management systems and processes

-          Proven track record of Quality Management and Lean Manufacturing

-          Sound knowledge of financial business processes

-          Knowledge of safety rules and regulations within a large production environment

-          Knowledge of Human Resource related legislative requirements (BCEA, LRA, COIDA etc)
