Reporting to the MD you will assume responsibility for providing support to the business on a range of human resources functions in accordance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. It is essential that you have gained your experience within the manufacturing sector. Experience with wage negotiation and managed an outsourced labour force is essential.

Key Result Areas:

  • HR Administration
  • On-boarding new employees and preparation of inductions
  • Employee Benefits - Completion of documents (Pension, Disability, UIF, Death claims)
  • Payroll - Assist with the completion of new engagement documentation
  • Recruitment and Selection - Manage the recruitment process
  • Employment Equity -Meet all statutory requirements and annual submissions of the EE Report to the Department of Labour
  • Skills Development - Meet all statutory requirements of the SD Act, Assist with the annual submissions of the WSP/ATR
  • Wage negotiations
  • Industrial Relations - Ensures compliance and Represents the organization in IR forums
  • Health and Safety - Act as the Health and Safety representative for the Company. Meet all statutory requirements of the OHSA and COIDA act
  • Performance Management - Ensure that the performance reviews are completed
  • Headcount Budgeting
  • Organisational Design - Review and update job descriptions
  • BEE - Update the management control and skills development for BEE purposes

 



Skills Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology

Essential Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a generalist.
  • Good working knowledge of HR legislative requirements
  • Wage negotiations – NUMSA experience would be highly advantageous
  • Business Acumen
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • VIP and ESS
