As the Senior Manager you will be responsible for starting up a new distribution channel of brokers by growing portfolio profitability through the utilisation of opportunities and developments in the market. Contribute to the organisational goals by managing and growing the high net worth investment and risk product portfolio to sustain and increase profit within the wealth segment of the business.

Key Result Areas:

  • Targeting and marketing of brokers within the traditional financial services market, focusing on investment and risk products.
  • Conduct sales forecasts and design a product mix that will add profitability to the organisation.
  • Onboarding, vetting, training, marketing, relationship building and growing of market share within the panel of brokers brought on board.
  • Understanding of financial services trends within the relevant client market.
  • Fully accountable for the relationship with the broker, across all hierarchical levels and products.
  • Ability to appropriately balance technical input and marketing skill to address client environment and needs through end- to -end financial planning.
  • Manage and control departmental budget and spend in line with effective cost management endeavours.
  • Development and implementation of medium/long term departmental strategies.
  • Compliance & regulatory risk management.
  • Understanding the broker distribution commercial model and manage the impact of financial levers ito profit and loss outcome.
  • Effective team and people leadership through coaching and developing a team of managers and broker consultants.


Skills Required


  • Grade 12 (Standard 10) with University Entrance (NQF4)
  • Relevant business degree
  • CFP qualified
  • Desirable: Post graduate degree


  • Essential 5-7 years middle to senior management experience in the insurance broker sector/division
