About this job

Ideally you will be very analytical and understand both qualitative and quantitative research & methodologies, research solutions and data collection. You will be required to tailor made research that is specifically designed to address clients’ unique objectives by providing them with insights into the needs, expectations and attitudes towards companies, brands and products by the end user or shopper.

Key Result Areas

  • Quantitative methodologies = Opinion polls, observations, surveys, random probability, sampling
  • Qualitative methodologies = In depth interviews, focus groups, immersions, in-store visits, workshops
  • Methodologies Audience / Clients: CPG, Packaging, FMCG, Retail, Finance, Schools
  • Research Solutions = Brand, Product, Marketing, Target Market
  • Research Sectors = Business 2 Business, Consumers & Shoppers
  • Data collection for all of the above will be conducted SA Nationally, both urban & rural
  • Generate customised insights and recommendations that produce strategic insights for clients
  • Preparing presentations and presenting findings to clients
  • Coordinating with Customised Research Team on project logistics
  • Travel to client meetings and fieldwork
  • Assisting with new product development (conceptualisation and implementation)
  • Transfer of knowledge and expertise to team members


Skills Required

Qualifications

  • B Com Honours with Psychology major OR Marketing as a major

Experience

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a similar position
  • Understand both qualitative and quantitative research & methodologies
  • Understand research solutions
  • Understand data collection
