Management of the group accounting department including maintenance of proper accounting records, timely management reporting, improve, implement and monitor accounting and operational financial controls                                                             

Key Performance Areas

  • Controlling  The setting and implementation of, and monitoring and adherence to Internal Controls.                                                                                                               Maintain accurate and reliable financial records and analysis;
  • Reporting:   Monthly financial statements - Daily / weekly regular management financial reports
  • Managing:   Integrity, reliability and relevance of financial information and reports in accordance with appropriate accounting and information standards
  • Meet various reporting deadlines, internal and external;
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable to avoid bad debt and limit overdue debt;
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable to achieve best cash flow, ensure validity and accuracy, and maintain a good credit record;
  • Monitor and Manage foreign exchange risk and exposure;
  • Prepare budgets and report on performance against the budgets;
  • Financial budget and Tax planning, reporting and statutory returns
  • Manage relationship with (banks, auditors, advisors ect.)
  • Monitor and manage cash flows;
  • All creditors’ invoices are accurate and valid, and payments correct;
  • Implement cost saving programs and monitor adherence.
  • Regulatory reporting and compliance.


Skills Required

Highest Education          

  • BCom Hons or CA(SA)

Experience and Skills

  • 5 years exp at similar level                  
  • Recruit, develop, train, manage and lead a team to achieve defined objectives;
  • Design, implement and monitor internal controls;
  • Prepare, understand, present and investigate financial reports, analysis and information;
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness regulatory compliance.
  • Attention to detail and strong administration skills;
  • Manage and prioritise varied work tasks and exercise own initiative;
