About this job

Our client is seeking a highly creative individual who has worked on an ecommerce site for a consumer business (Retail/FMCG/Luxury) who is passionate about customer experience, service and brand loyalty. The position requires someone with a holistic understanding of an online customer journey. Become accountable for the market's eCommerce Channels Sales and Customer Satisfaction.

You will be required to have a deep understanding of the digital landscape developing the digital proposition and digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate, as this is one of the strategic focus areas, including experience of acquisition channels is essential.

You'll have bags of autonomy within the role and, whilst the brand is global, there are huge wins to be had as they're relatively early on in their digital journey with serious ambitions and a clear plan. In order to succeed in this role, you need to be a self-starter on the up with the energy, drive and willingness to make a difference. Ideally suit an individual who is able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial flair and excited to take on new initiatives.

Key Result Areas:

Strategic

  • Lead the markets' eCommerce business development and builds the operational plan to deliver on sales and customer satisfaction targets:
  • Define the local channel strategy in cooperation with the MEA Regional Ecommerce Team, assembling brand and relational initiatives, from traffic acquisition to conversion and retention, in close collaboration with all market's functions and channels.
  • Exploration, assessment and development of local e-Retailing initiatives in collaboration with and in support of the market's Commercial Dept.
  • Implement the operational plan to reach conversion, sales & customers satisfaction objectives.
  • Optimization of the e-commerce Channel performance, from e-merchandising & personalization and retention activities, leveraging CRM insights to increase conversion & average basket size.
  • Delivering Commercial digital activities on time and quality as defined in the eCommerce Operational Plan set by the market
  • Ensure that eCommerce Operations are managed according the Global standard defined
  • Ensure the Brand equity is protected on all digital touchpoints
  • Setup, test, and run promotion campaigns according to the global and local calendar
  • Define, Plan & Activate e-Merchandising activities through cross-sell, up-sell & e-CRM possible strategies
  • Apply all Digital Group guidelines at Channel level
  • Manage the Channel performance vs targets
  • Manage the Channel budget for the market. Establish budget and monitor the costs.

 



Skills Required

Education

  • University degree preferred

Essential Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in eBusiness.
  • Strong experience in Digital Marketing activities to drive traffic on websites
  • Strong experience in eCommerce Operations (Content Management, e-Merchandising & personalisation)
  • Strong Web Analytics knowledge (Google Analytics certification a plus)
  • Experience with CMS and Magento (preferably version 2.0)
  • Project Management and Stakeholder Management (understand decision and escalation processes)
  • Experience in building and managing eBusiness operations (organization, processes, guidelines) a strong plus.
  • CRM and eCRM Experience a plus

Essential Skills

  • Commercial Business Acumen (understanding of processes and enablers, drivers of Business Models & being capable to translate it into relevant Marketing Actions)
  • Good understanding of value chain analysis and all functional areas of the business beyond Marketing, e.g. finance, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, demand planning
  • Excellent planning and administration skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work independently
