Regional Sales Account Manager

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, maintain and grow market share across all product lines in the Port Elizabeth and Western Cape Regions by meeting volume, revenue and margin targets while enhancing the business profile of the company in the marketplace. Ideally suit a candidate with industrial packaging sales experience at a senior level

Key Result Areas

  • Manage existing, potential and new customer relationships
  • Define and implement customer action plans for existing and new accounts
  • Track performance by customer and product
  • Collect relevant customer and competitor information for communication to manager
  • Participate in the annual budget preparation
  • Support site accountant in reviewing and strengthening internal controls
  • Perform administration and reporting tasks as set
  • Find mutually beneficial solutions to customer queries and complaint and coordinate resolution


Skills Required


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (essential)


  • Minimum of 3 years Sales / Account Manager in a similar role within a Manufacturing environment

Essential Skills and Expertise

  • High aptitude for sales and CRM
  • Reasonable understanding of sales measurement and reporting systems
  • Preferred product and local market knowledge
  • High level of spoken and written English; adequate Afrikaans;
  • Ability to converse in Xhosa I Zulu an advantage
  • Microsoft Office essential
  • Travel
  • Valid code 08 driver's license
  • Availability to travel: PE daily; W. Cape occasionally; Europe on the rare occasion
