Our client is a leading premium retailer who are well established within the retail market. To support their successful business, they are looking to recruit an experienced National Retail Operations Manager who will support them in continuing to drive their business forward.

We are looking for an individual who has proven capabilities in retail management at a national level with current or recent experience in luxury brands is essential. Responsible for the delivery of exceptional operational and commercial standards throughout the stores in your area, developing all areas of operational activity and driving sales and profitability through the performance and development of your teams.

 

You will be accountable for:

  • Responsible for retail stores and driving the performance of these stores
  • Managing & monitoring stores sales performance KPI’s and targets to maximise profitability for the area
  • Be a brand ambassador, ensuring you promote the brand in a positive way across your area
  • Encouraging store teams to exceed customer service standards
  • Consistently driving high levels of operational excellence across the stores
  • Recruiting, training, coaching and developing store teams in order to optimise performance across the area & provide succession for the company
  • Adherence to International & local guidelines, policies, processes and procedures and ensure they are implemented and respected in the stores.
  • Assisting, advising and guiding Retail Managers in managing their teams as well as in all aspects of store management, including stock management, store administration, staff organization and merchandising.
  • Establish and submit regular reports as required to the CEO
  • Support programmes to enhance sales
  • Ensure good collaboration between the stores and the relevant internal functions


Skills Required

Education

  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred         

Essential Experience  

  • Min 7 to 8 years retail experience.
  • With a minimum of 3 years in leading & managing retail sales teams.
  • Luxury brand experience
  • Strong commercial acumen combined with good marketing skills.
  • Role requires frequent domestic and occasional international travel
  • Multinational experience
  • Experience gained within a matrix management reporting structure
  • MS Office
  • Typically, role follows normal working hours, however, at times there will be requirements to work on week-ends. Accordingly, a flexible approach is required.
