Key Result Areas

Lead, manage, integrate and grow the business, accountable for ensuring that the business is guided at a strategic level, meets its primary objectives and that it is geared for growth within SA.

  • Reporting into the CEO, oversee the complete running of the South African business units.
  • Drive the business strategy towards a culture of client centricity that will facilitate optimal value and experience for the client as well as sustainable profitability for the company;
  • Providing leadership direction, mentoring and coordination of the Group Exco
  • Play a key role in building successful collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, direct integration of key business processes, stimulate change and business transformation;
  • Develop and implement the company’s strategy across key market segments to ensure that the company identifies and optimizes a clear path to aggressive growth;
  • Responsible for the profit and loss of the Business and accountable to the CEO and Board of directors on achieving the agreed net profit/growth targets
  • Identify and analyse opportunities for growth in key market segments to drive profitability;
  • Drive a high-performance culture that drives the results.
  • Building industry wide networks with professional bodies, associations and peers to influence decision making processes in favour of the business


Skills Required


  • Post graduate qualification
  • CA(SA) or MBA preferred but not essential


  • 10 years’ experience at an executive level

Essential Skills

  • Must have a global perspective and the ability to think in broad terms in terms of the industry
  • Ability to factor in the complexities of running multiple businesses with multi-faceted operations;
  • Experienced in leading and inspiring multi-disciplinary teams across multiple businesses;
  • Ability to make tough decisions and adjust strategies in the midst of uncertainty;
  • Excellent financial acumen
  • Entrepreneurial experience
  • In depth knowledge of markets and the changing business environment
