Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with a relevant tertiary qualification in Sales / Marketing
  • 7 Years sales experience, preferably within a retail environment, of which 3 to 5 years should be at management level
  • Proven people skills with effective experience in training, managing, mentoring and evaluating sales reports and performance
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Advanced MS Office (Word, Powerpoint & Excel)
  • Previous experience in the direct sales environment will be a great advantage

Skills Required

 

Responsible for people management, coaching, mentoring and developing Direct Sales Agents to improve sales in a retail environment. Tertiary qualification and at least 7 years retail experience with management experience is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sales agent strategy and update forecasts and adjust business plan based on performance trends.
  • Monitor average value performance per sales agent and ensure agents grow and exceed in their performance and deliver customer centric service.
  • Ensure agent base growth and performance to deliver against years objectives and targets
  • Co-ordinate and oversee campaigns to recruit, train, motivate and incentivise staff within the sales agent business
  • Provide valid and up to date recruitment, training, and motivational material to the agents
  • Coach, mentor and support senior agents in leading their teams
  • Develop, implement, co-ordinate and report on processes, policies and functions of the sales agent business
  • Reports to be prepared according to business needs as well as analysis of trends relating to sales, quality and risk management.
  • Equip operations to ensure performance and ensure that KPAs are in place to manage performance levels.
  • Undertake personal development plans are maintained to ensure personal development
  • Manage succession risk and develop appropriate plans.
