About this job

10 years + of Marketing and Sales experience in a Regional, global or European B2B environment. Take full responsibility for the strategic direction of sales and marketing within Sub-Saharan Africa.

Key Result Areas:

  • Direct, lead and manage the development of the Africa strategy for local sales, export sales and marketing.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to African markets and abroad; participate or lead strategic / growth projects, in region and / or globally.
  • Define clear profile of current and potential customers (strategy, decision makers, negotiation power, channel, size, share, growth, competitors, needs, problems, solutions)
  • Responsible for the definition, development and deployment of the regional marketing, campaigns & commercial plans with his / her local team and in line with regions’ growth objectives.
  • Manage the support given to the regional sales team in terms of product launches, promotional calendars, key accounts support & pricing policy.
  • Continuously monitor and analyse the Regional market evolution with the regional sales team to analyse customers’ needs and requirements, business opportunities, pricing and competitions’
  • Team Management & Leadership - Partner with HR to educate and train the sales and marketing professionals; through properly designed PDP’s throughout the function.
  • Analyse and monitor sales forecasts, project pipeline and customer base; share and discuss strategy. Report weekly.
  • Cost Control  


Skills Required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Sales
  • Honours / Master’s Degree in Marketing would be desirable
  • 6-10 years + of Marketing and Sales experience in an International B2B environment
  • 7 years of management / Leadership experience
  • Proven track record and experience in all aspects of developing, managing and deploying sales and marketing strategies
  • Industrial manufacturing sector experience essential – automotive would be an advantage
  • Managing P& L experience essential
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Multi-national experience essential
  • Savvy with customers from other cultures and countries
  • MS Office, BW, SAP
