Generate maximum sales of consumer products in the Office / Corporate Channels (HORECA) through the medium of securing, managing and developing accounts within the incumbent’s allocated area of responsibility to achieve the sales targets that are determined from time to time.

Key Result Area:

  • Understand end-consumer and customer needs in the Office channel
  • Grow the client base in this channel by identifying prospective accounts; securing and managing those accounts and developing the consumption potential of those accounts
  • Establish and maintain Office customer database
  • Forge and develop relationships with the relevant key personnel at customer accounts
  • Promote products and secure orders
  • Follow up orders to delivery
  • Respond to queries and complaints emanating from customer accounts and ensure that they are resolved
  • Visit account customers on a regular and systematic basis in accordance with agreed program and promote maximum consumption of products, customer awareness of latest products, varieties, specials and promotions
  • Have and demonstrate the requisite technical selling skills, product knowledge and understanding of pricing required to function effectively in this position
  • Collect intelligence on competitor’s products and activities and report to Manager
  • Develop a business plan for the allocated area of responsibility in conjunction with the Manager, which details the activities that the incumbent will perform to meet or exceed the agreed sales targets
  • Maximize all opportunities to increase sales and the company’s market share

 



Skills Required

Minimum Requirements

  • Own vehicle and Driver’s License essential
  • Tertiary Qualification Preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Direct Sales environment – FMCG/Retail/ HORECA
  • Broad commercial knowledge
  • Good financial knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office
