About this job

At least 3 years’ experience in senior sales and technical sales environment in the earthmoving industry. Maintain, develop and grow sales in a defined geographical area or per defined customer list, by visiting customers as well as processing quotes, orders and after-sale service.  

Key Result Areas:

  • Direct selling of key accounts.
  • Participate in the development and execution of a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote all Spare Parts sales revenue, profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Participate and maintain company & branch & BP sales revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
  • Identify Plan, develop, and implement marketing strategies for expanding distribution and/or revenues for the company.
  • Develop and maintain a Parts master catalogue.
  • Train and mentors staff on Parts product lines, when required.
  • Approve and drive company operational procedures, policies, and standards at all BP’s and branches.
  • Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
  • Participate in company planning and policy-making committees i.e. Safety, training, BEE, ISO, etc.
  • Obtain and collate customer input and feed back to management regarding product and service improvements and enhancements relating to all Parts.
  • Utilize, update and manage the Product Performance Tool.


Skills Required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric with Math with successfully completed commerce courses such as Sales, Marketing or Business Management.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in senior sales and technical sales environment in the earthmoving industry.
  • Good understanding of all earthmoving-, parts exchange-, mining- and construction parts.
  • Understanding on how to upgrade machines from competitor’s product to ours and how extract best value form customer base.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • Knowledge of public relations principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of communication and public relation techniques. Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel
  • Good, accurate reporting skills
